Wexford Women’s Refuge provides 24hr crisis accommodation for women and children experiencing domestic abuse in their own homes. On admission many families will present with very little or no personal belongings.
In 2009, 67 mothers and 158 children sought accommodation in the Refuge. These statistics show that domestic violence is very prevalent in our community.
The Refuge is open 24x7x365 and a 24hr helpline 1800 220 444 service is also in operation.
